My happy place is more a season than an actual physical place. I do have specific locations that make me instantly happy, but Spring itself brings a certain joy to me. I’m especially interested in the relationship it holds with youth. Spring, youth and the beginning of Summer is what I wanted to portray in this short and experimental film.
Nobody’s daughter, experimental fashion film
In this case, i wanted to try and make a more narrative film, using the structure of a possible fashion film but keeping it experimental. This film is inspired by the magic of the Tarot cards but it’s not looking to be exactly accurate to the way they are used.

Marini, experimental film
This is a short, experimental film that looks into my relationship with my grandma Marini. Her husband, my grandpa, was very fond of photography but I never got to talk to him about it because when i was old enough to be interested in photography, he started to be sick, and he later passed away. This has made me view my relationship with my grandmother in a different way and it has also led me to take my grandpa’s surname as my own. That’s why my artistic name is Julia de Carpio.
